Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Annual Banquet Recognizes Employees For Service

(ELLSWORTH, ME) May 30, 2008 - In May Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees and directors gathered at the White Birches Restaurant for their annual awards dinner. Many employees and directors were recognized for their years of service at the Bank. Also, the recipients of the 2007 Agnes Salisbury "Customer Service" Award were announced.

Employees with five years of service: Susan Albee, Judi Anderson, Vicki Austin, Donna Blankley, Penny Carter, Jyl Chase, Jamie Church, David Cohen, Theresa Colson, Dawn Crabtree, Pam Curativo, Judy Driscoll, Audrey Eaton, Jason Freeman, Susanne Griffin, Vicki Hall, Will Hatt, Derek Hayes, Becky Kent, Stephen Leackfeldt, Bonnie Leblanc, Colleen Maynard, Kara Miller, Michele Morrison, Cheryl Mullen, Joseph Murphy, Russell Patton, Jane Robinson, Stacy Sinford, David Thibault, Ann Upham, Lisa Veazie, Jeanne Weeks. Directors with five years of service include: Connie Shea, Scott Toothaker, David Woodside, and Martha Dudman.

Employees with ten years of service: Deena Allen, Julie Eaton, Pam Farnsworth, Nancy Hastings, Bob Lavoie, Elena Martin, Alex Orcutt, Jane Parker, Julie Redman, Sarah Robinson, Frank Schaefer, Gerry Shencavitz, Bridgette Shorey, Allyson Wallace, and Julie Zimmerman. Director, Bob Carter was also recognized for ten years of service.

Employees with fifteen years of service: Mischelle Adams, Laura Bridges, Greg Dalton, Laura Danielson, Kelton Hallett, Lisa Parsons, Mary Ratner, Judy Richards, Deb Scott-Henderson, and Terry Tracy. Directors with fifteen years of service are Tom Colwell and Bob Phillips.

Employees with twenty years of service: June Atherton, Judy Fuller, Annette Guertin, Lynn Huffman, Maureen Kane, Debbie Mitchell-Dow, and Carol Pye. Director, Peter Dodge was also recognized for twenty years of service.

Brenda Colwell and Andrea Snow were both recognized for 25 years of service. Linda Stratton, Barbara Hepburn and Bonnie Poland were recognized for 30 years of service.

Judy Newenham, Marsha Sawyer, and Faye Geel were recognized for 35 years of service!

During the banquet the recipients of the 2007 Agnes Salisbury Award were announced. This award, established in 1989 in memory of long time employee, Agnes H. Salisbury, recognizes beyond best service in a number of areas: community service, teamwork, customer service, positive attitude, or assuming extra responsibilities above and beyond the call of duty. Each year, an employee committee selects two award winners from nominations received from Bank employees. Debra Scott-Henderson and Todd Starbird are this year's recipients of the Company's highest employee honor.

Todd Starbird, Regional VP/Business Banking at the Rockland branch, is recognized for the quality of his work, which is always complete, organized and above expectations. Todd is said to be very understanding and provides an exceptionally high level of service to his clients and co-workers, both at the Rockland branch and throughout the Bank. He isn't afraid to roll up his sleeves to help a customer, co-worker or community member. Todd volunteers for the Maine Lobster Festival, Northport Blues Festival, Rockland Lobster Boat Races, and MS Walk. He also serves on the board of Home Counselor's Inc.

Debra Scott-Henderson, Credit Administration Specialist in the Bank's Bar Harbor office, is recognized for the positive energy and enthusiasm that she brings to work every day. Regardless of the request, Deb always says, "Yes!" She is full of ideas and willing to implement them, with her efforts always resulting in tremendous success. Customers, co-workers, and the larger community are privileged to experience Deb's "best possible service" attitude. Since 2002, Deb has lead Bar Harbor Bank & Trust's Relay For Life team, which has raised well over $25,000 to fight cancer. She is a passionate leader in the cause to find a cure for cancer and has inspired her co-workers to work toward this greater good. In addition, Deb freely gives of her many talents - cooking, baking, knitting and sewing - to support those in the community around her.
