Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Raises Money For Downeast Family YMCA
(BAR HARBOR, ME) August 18, 2008 - Harbor Bank & Trust held it's annual Customer Appreciation Day at the Ellsworth branch on Friday, August 22. Part of the festivities included a dunk tank with proceeds benefiting the Downeast Family YMCA.
In just three hours, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust's dunk tank raised $344.00 for the YMCA - money that will go straight to funding community programs. Community members who were willing to be "dunked" for the Y included Michelle Beal, Ellsworth City Manager; Kevin Kane, Ellsworth Fire Department; and Peter Faragher, DEF YMCA Director. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees who were willing to get wet for a good cause included Audrey Eaton, Ashley Johnson, Jenn Torrey, Dave Thibault, Derek Hayes, and Tim Tunney.
Bar Harbor Bank & Trust showed their appreciation to their customers by serving up some fantastic food for lunch, free of charge, and providing a complimentary gift to all who attended. The weather was absolutely spectacular and the dunk tank added to the fun and festivities of the day. A special thanks goes to Lou Dublin from Grand Rental who donated the dunk tank and provided the tent.
