Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Announces Promotion

(BAR HARBOR, ME) September 2, 2008 - Joseph M. Murphy, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce the promotion of Elizabeth McMillan to Human Resources Manager. Her primary responsibilities include recruiting, payroll, and benefits for all Bar Harbor Bankshares subsidiaries.

Elizabeth previously held the position of Credit Analyst at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust (BHBT). Her background includes experience in human resources, marketing, purchasing and retail operations. Before joining BHBT in early 2008, Elizabeth was in human resources with Campbell Soup Company, Inc. in Camden, New Jersey. She also held positions in sales and information technology with Office Depot, Inc. in San Francisco, California and the New England region. Elizabeth has a masters degree in communication, with a concentration in organizational development, from Suffolk University in Boston and received her undergraduate degree in business administration, majoring in human resources and marketing, from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Elizabeth resides in Lamoine with her husband and family.
