Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Golf Tournament First Place Gross Winners

This annual benefit golf tournament played at Kebo Valley Golf Club is hosted by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust with proceeds contributed to a local non-profit. This year's beneficiary was Island Connections.

(Bar Harbor, ME) June 1, 2011 — The 18th Annual Bar Harbor Bank & Trust David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament was held at the Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor on May 31, 2011. After being postponed by a week due to weather conditions, the tournament included a full field of players who enjoyed the warm, sunny day. The proceeds from this year's tournament go to Island Connections, which provides free services to seniors, the elderly and those with disabilities on MDI through their team of volunteers. The tournament had incredible community support, bringing in a record number of sponsorships and donations.

This charity event is a tribute to longtime member and Chairman of the Board of Bar Harbor Bankshares, David R. Harding. According to Bank President Joseph Murphy, "Since its inception, and continuing today, this tournament remembers a man who gave of himself to many charitable organizations and set an example for all of us. Recognizing Mr. Harding with this tournament allows us to continue his legacy of community involvement and actively help local organizations through the contributions made to this event."
