Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Announces Promotions

(Bar Harbor, ME) July 7, 2011 — Joseph M. Murphy, President and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, along with the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the following promotions:

• Lisa Veazie, AVP/Branch Relationship Manager in Deer Isle has been promoted to Vice President, Regional Branch Relationship Manager for Blue Hill & Deer Isle.
• Rebecca Emerson, Customer Service Manager in Deer Isle has been promoted to Branch Relationship Manager for Deer Isle.
• James Lacasse, Business Banking Officer has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Business Banking.

	Lisa Veazie has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust since 2002, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President, Branch Relationship Manager in Deer Isle. With her promotion to Vice President and Regional Branch Relationship Manager for Blue Hill & Deer Isle, Lisa will continue to assist customers with their questions and lending needs in both markets. In addition she will be leading the Deer Isle and Blue Hill branch teams, and managing the growth of both of these markets. Lisa is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and is active in her community. She is Treasurer of the Salvation Army, a mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, a Trustee for Nichols Day Camp and she teaches financial education in the community. Lisa resides in Blue Hill with her husband, Douglas, and their two children.
	Rebecca Emerson has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust since 2002 working as Customer Service Manager in Deer Isle. With her promotion to Branch Relationship Manager, Rebecca will lead the Deer Isle branch team, assist customers with deposit and loan requests, and work with local businesses to meet their banking needs. In her community, Rebecca serves as a member of Island Fishermen's Wives, on the Island Rec Board, and is the Chairperson for the Steering Committee for Ready By 21. She is a graduate of the University of Maine with an associates degree in Social Sciences. Rebecca resides in Deer Isle with her husband, Joseph, and their daughter, Ashly.
	Jim Lacasse has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust since 2008. After spending two years in the Bank’s Credit Administration department analyzing loan requests, Jim moved to the Business Banking team to directly assist business customers with their loan and deposit needs. Prior to joining BHBT, Jim spent six years with the Corporate Library conducting corporate governance research, and two years with Unum Insurance as an underwriting specialist. He is a recent graduate of the National Commercial Lending School in Dallas, Texas. Based at the Bank’s lending and financial service center at 135 High Street in Ellsworth, Jim is responsible for developing and managing relationships with area business owners in the Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle/Stonington areas. In his spare time, Jim is a youth soccer and basketball coach and an active volunteer for “Making Strides,” an organization that helps children with sensory needs. He resides in Blue Hill with his wife, Katye, and their three sons.
