Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Announces Promotions

(Ellsworth, ME) July 8, 2011 — Joseph M. Murphy, President and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, along with the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the following promotions and new leadership for the Bank’s Ellsworth, Winter Harbor, and Milbridge branches:

• Christopher Young, is re-joining the bank as Vice President & Regional Branch Relationship Manager for Ellsworth, Milbridge & Winter Harbor.
• Jody McFadden, former Branch Relationship Manager for Winter Harbor, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Branch Relationship Manager in Ellsworth.
• Krystal Dorr, former Regional Assistant Manager in Somesville and Northeast Harbor, has been promoted to Branch Relationship Manager in Winter Harbor.
• Holly Johnston, former Manager Trainee, has been promoted to Branch Relationship Manager in Milbridge.

	Christopher Young is returning to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as Vice President & Regional Branch Relationship Manager for Ellsworth, Milbridge and Winter Harbor. A George Stevens Academy graduate, Chris earned a bachelors degree from the University of Maine at Orono. He is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and the ABA School of Bank Marketing & Management. Chris has been in banking since 1996, working at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as Marketing Director, as a Business Specialist II with Fleet Bank/Bank of America, and most recently as a Commercial Loan Officer and Retail Branch Manager for Union Trust/Camden National Bank in Ellsworth. As Vice President and Regional Branch Relationship Manager, Chris will oversee the operations of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s Ellsworth, Milbridge and Winter Harbor branches while also handling business development, commercial lending, and community involvement in those market areas. Chris is currently the Treasurer for Ira Berry Lodge #128 AF & AM and is a member of the Washington Hancock Community Agency/Downeast Business Alliance Loan Committee. He served on the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Capital Campaign committee as co-chair of the Business Gifts subcommittee. He is the former Board President of both the Blue Hill Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine. Chris lives in Blue Hill with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three children, Emily, Spencer and Wyatt.
	Jody McFadden has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust since 2003 holding the positions of Regional Branch Assistant, Branch Supervisor, and is now Assistant Vice President and Branch Relationship Manager for the Ellsworth office. Her current promotion comes in recognition of the tremendous job that Jody has done over the last year in Winter Harbor, establishing the branch in the community and developing a successful team. She brings these same skills and enthusiasm to the Ellsworth market where she will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch and assisting customers with deposit and loan requests. Jody is a graduate of Lubec High School and holds a bachelors degree in English from the University of Maine at Machias. She enjoys volunteering in the community, most recently participated in Bowl for Kids Sake, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s Earth Day Clean Up, and the March of Dimes Walk. Jody lives in Ellsworth with her fiancé Paul, daughter Gillian, and step-son Johnathan.
	Krystal Dorr joined the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust team in 2009 as Regional Assistant Manager in Somesville and Northeast Harbor. In her new role as Branch Relationship Manager in Winter Harbor, Krystal will supervise the branch team, assist customers with deposit and loan requests, and work with local businesses to meet their banking needs. Prior to joining BHBT, Krystal was a Customer Service Representative/Branch Supervisor with TD Bank in Ellsworth and Brewer, an Account Executive with Blueberry Broadcasting in Bangor, and a Graphic Designer with Consumer Source, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in New Hampshire and graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and an associate’s degree in Marketing. Recently Krystal earned her Supervisor Certificate from The Northern New England Center for Financial Training. She has also completed numerous courses through the Northern New England School of Banking. Krystal is Treasurer of the MDI Lioness and participates in many community and fundraising events each year. She lives in Franklin and is engaged to Roman Jordan.
	Holly Johnston an Ellsworth native, joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in November 2009 as a Manager Trainee, working in several branches and departments to gain a broad knowledge of bank management and operations. With her recent promotion to Branch Relationship Manager in Milbridge, Holly is now responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, assisting consumer and commercial customers with their loan and deposit needs, and coaching team members for success. A graduate of University of Maine Orono, Holly holds a bachelors degree in Business Management. She also earned her Supervisor Certificate from The Northern New England Center for Financial Training and is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking. Holly actively participates in community events such as Relay for Life and Acadia Roadside Cleanup. She resides in Ellsworth and is engaged to Brian Archer II.
