Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Announces Promotions
(BAR HARBOR, ME) December 14, 2011 - Joseph M. Murphy, President and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, along with the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the following promotions.
Lottie Stevens has been promoted from Operations Manager to Assistant Vice President of Operations.
Jackie Curtis has been promoted from Human Resources Manager to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.
Greg Jones has been promoted from Customer Service Manager of the Rockland office to Branch Relationship Manager.
Steven Blackett has been promoted from Assistant Vice President of Credit Administration to Vice President of Credit Administration
Karri Bailey has been promoted from Vice President of Credit Administration Portfolio Manager to Vice President of Managed Assets.

Lottie Stevens, Assistant Vice President of Operations works with the Account and Transaction Processing and Servicing and Quality Assurance groups as needed, is processing daily work, developing departmental efficiencies, and working on special projects as assigned by management. Lottie first joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 1985 as a Teller in Bar Harbor and later moved to the consumer lending area, where she was in charge of the mortgage processing department. From there she transferred to Credit Administration and later was promoted to Compliance. Lottie left the Bank for a few years to run a seasonal restaurant, returning to her first career in the hospitality industry. However, in the winters she came back to the Bank to work in the Operations area on special projects. A few years ago Lottie returned to the Bank as a full time Manager for Account and Transaction Processing, transferred to the Audit Department for a year, then returned to Operations in her current position.
Lottie grew up in Bethel, attended the University of Southern Maine and is a graduate of Williams College School of Banking. Currently Lottie lives in Bar Harbor with her husband, Bruce. They have three grown sons and two grandchildren.

Jackie Curtis, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for the bank’s recruitment efforts, performance management, safety program and implementing new departmental projects, such as the Bank’s participation in the 2011 Best Places to Work program. Relocating from Portland to be closer to family, Jackie joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2010. During her career, Jackie was employed by TD Bank for 19 years, in various positions and most recently for a period of 10 years as manager of the corporate workers compensation, safety, leave, and disability programs. Jackie is a Certified Ergonomic Compliance Director.
A graduate of George Stevens Academy, Jackie grew up in Penobscot. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys hiking with her dogs, and spending quality time with family, and volunteers with Relay For Life. Jackie lives in Blue Hill with her husband, Rob.

Greg Jones, Branch Relationship Manager in Rockland is responsible for the daily management of the Rockland branch, ensuring smooth operations and providing assistance to both customers and employees as needed. He provides assistance with consumer loans, opening new accounts, and general customer service. Greg joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2006, as a Teller in the Rockland Branch. A year later he was promoted to Customer Service Representative and then to Customer Service Manager in 2008. In addition to his full time job at the Bank, you may see Greg moonlighting as a part time server in La Bella Vita at the Samoset Resort.
Greg graduated from Georges Valley High School and then attended Thomas College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Management. In 2010 Greg graduated from the Northern New England School of Banking. In his spare time Greg enjoys playing golf, spending time with his wife and daughter, and renovating their historic sea captain home in Rockland.

Steven Blackett, Vice President of Credit Administration is responsible for managing the Bank’s commercial loan underwriting function, supervising a staff of two, and coordinating workflow with other departments. Steve joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2000 and worked as a Commercial Lender, in the Managed Assets department, and has been underwriting primarily commercial credit applications for the last eight years. After earning his undergraduate degree at St. Anselm’s College, Steve’s first job was working with handicapped individuals for three years after which he served a six-year stint with the U.S. Coast Guard, which included three years stationed in Southwest Harbor. For the next five years, while earning his MBA at the University of Maine in Orono, Steve worked as a stern man, scallop diver and boat captain. After finishing his degree Steve joined the Bank.
A resident of Bar Harbor, Steve regularly volunteers at the Bar Harbor Food Pantry and enjoys spending leisure time with his wife and daughters.

Karri Bailey, Vice President of Managed Assets expands her role to include supervision of the Managed Assets department along with servicing a portfolio of commercial credit accounts. Karri re-joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2010 working in the credit administration area. She has over 20 years of banking experience, starting out at Depositors Trust Company in Caribou as a Customer Service/New Accounts Representative. During her career she has also worked for First Citizens Bank, and spent eight years in Kansas working for American Bank and Commerce Bank. In 2001 Karri returned to Maine and worked for Bar Harbor Bank & Trust for a few years then at The First.
Karri lives in Lamoine and volunteers with the SPCA as a foster mom caring for expectant felines and then raising the kittens until they are ready for adoption.
