Stars on the Horizon - Employee Recognition Program

This peer-to-peer, employee recognition program was developed to motivate employees to live the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Brand Promise every day. It recognizes employees who perform any one of five brand behaviors:

· Communication – Listen and convey the right information to the right audience at the right time in a clear, respectful and action-focused manner.

When any employee witnesses another performing one of the five brand behaviors they are encouraged to give that person a “star.” On a quarterly basis, all star nominations are reviewed and winners chosen. These winners along with a few other nominations are then considered for the Bank’s highest employee honor, the prestigious Agnes Salisbury annual award.
