Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Sponsors The River Center's Money Matters Program

Peterborough, New Hampshire (August 22, 2018)  – (left and right) Kevin McElhinney, AVP, Branch Relationship Manager at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in Peterborough presents a donation check to Margaret Nelson, Executive Director at The River Center Family and Community Resource Center. This contribution is a sponsorship of the Center’s Money Matters program, which provides free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and free Money Coaching. The Tax Assistance program is for low/moderate income individuals and families. Money Coaching is open to adults of all ages. Both programs serve to increase financial stability for community members. So far this year, over 450 people have been helped through the Money Matters program.
“The River Center does a great job assisting hundreds of area residents with tax assistance as well as through their free money coaching program,” said Kevin McElhinney of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust who also serves on the Advisory Council and Finance Committee for the Center. The River Center provides community connections, parenting support, job search skills, and tax and money coaching to strengthen individuals and families of the Eastern Monadnock Region.
